Satvika is a recent postgraduate who earned her LL.M. in Global Environmental Law with distinction from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, New York, where she was awarded a full merit scholarship. Her academic focus was on International Environmental Law, complemented by practical experience with organizations including the IUCN Mission to the United Nations, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the International Environmental Committee of the American Bar Association. Prior to her LL.M., she worked with the Environment Support Group in Bangalore, India. Satvika is deeply committed to fostering synergy between international environmental law and national implementation efforts, particularly within the Global South, aiming to bridge gaps between global negotiations and local capacities. Within the field of Environmental Law her areas of interest include Water Conservation, Wildlife Protection and Solid Waste Management, particularly with regard to dealing with legacy waste.
In her free time, Satvika dabbles in amateur photography, explores music, paints, movies, discovering new food, and exploring new cities and the wild.

Surya Gupta is an alumnus of Jindal Global Law School, Sonepat. Prior to joining ELDF, he worked as a Law Officer in Central Zoo Authority, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change wherein he advised and handled several litigations pertaining to wildlife and environmental matters. Surya has a keen interest in exploring and contributing to the forest rights and climate change discourse in India.
In his free time, he likes to write on topical issues.
