Prior to joining ELDF, he worked as a Law Officer in Central Zoo Authority, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change wherein he advised and handled several litigations pertaining to wildlife and environmental matters. Surya has a keen interest in exploring and contributing to the forest rights and climate change discourse in India.
